MY BOURJOIS BIO TEST AT ONLINE FASHION STORE

At the end of October ( here ), I spoke to you of new funds complexion Bio-Detox (certified by Ecocert) of Bourjois , wondering if one of the 9 colors available, existed for black skin and mixed. I then contacted the brand to ask them the question. I received a quick and detailed response from Jennifer from the Bourjois team . The latter informed me that indeed, 3 shades (59, 60 and 61)  were developed for black and mixed skin. More intense, these foundations unify and give radiance to black skin. Thus, the shade 59 corresponds to the complexion of light brown type, the 60 to brown and the 61 is darker. In France, only 2 colors are sold ( 59 and 60 ).

This orientation of the brand is certainly linked to the fact that the majority of black women turn to the choice of their foundation, towards so-called ethnic and multiethnic ranges.  Once you have found a suitable foundation (after several years of research), it is certainly difficult (but not impossible) to change it.

So that I could get an idea, Jennifer sent me shades 59 and 60 as well as the brand new Bio-Detox anti-pocket concealer . Hop, hop, hop, immediately my impressions.

For information, 98.8% of the total ingredients of the foundation Bio-Detox are of natural origin and 21.9% of total ingredients are from organic farming. Bio-Détox is enriched with oxygenating vegetable chlorophyll & anti-pollution for detoxified skin over the uses .

The most:

the packaging is very refined, while transparent. We immediately see the color of the foundation and the pump-bottle is perfectly suited for a liquid product. Bio-Detox absolutely does not clog pores, it is very light and sufficiently covering. It does not turn after several hours, does not over-shine the skin and remains firmly in place. Of course, I apply a compact powder to fix and mattify the face. There is also no mask effect, freezing the face. The appearance is very natural on the face. The detail that makes the difference: the smell it gives off. Could it be vegetable chlorophyll? Anyway i like it a lot. It is a bit surprising but very exhilarating.

The lessers :

The texture tames. It is thicker than usual foundations and more difficult to penetrate. Suddenly, it spreads only partially over the desired surface of the face, I am forced to put more, without excess but it remains laborious. A little too much product at the corners of the lips and traces appeared. It is this aspect that is fishing.

It is a product that I appreciated, however, the shade 59 did not quite correspond to me because, a little too dark for me.

The Bio-Detox anti-puffiness, also certified by Ecocert ( 98.9% of the total ingredients are from natural origin and 14.4% of the total ingredients are from Organic Farming) and which makes so much talk, has the particularity to be exhausted from adecongestant massage ball . Only 2 shades are sold . I tested the Mat Hâlé shade (number 3). Was it a pinch too light considering the color of my skin? Let's see. Bio-Detox Anti-Puff Concealer in 8ml tube, at an indicative price of € 12. It is sold in supermarkets and perfumeries. The most: The packaging is practical, simple and hygienic. I lightly press the tube which delivers the necessary dose of product thanks to the roll-on with metal ball. The minuses: Bio-Detox anti-puffiness                                                              

is fairly even a little too compact. The rules for using a concealer are as follows: use your finger to apply it, lightly tap (from the inside to the outside) and finally, always choose your concealer in a lighter tone than its coloring. Bourjois concealer requires taking your time. I pat (not badly) on the level of the eye then, so that the shade is based on the color of my skin, I systematically add a small amount of foundation. There is nevertheless a slight trace (light brown) at the place of the dark circles. My current solution is to use instead of the  Bio-Detox foundation , my usual foundation in symbiosis with the Bio-Detox anti-puffiness. It is much better.

Even today, I continue to use Bio-Detox anti-puffiness, first because I have visible dark circles and then, because I find the texture (thicker than average) effective against my dark circles. They are less visible, almost imperceptible after having worked them well with Bio-Detox anti-puffiness . The skin there has become smoother and hydrated. It is also a makeup product which, according to the brand, " also acts on puffy pockets and eyelids (…) les soft focus pigments erase dark circles and brighten the look and its natural formula based on vegetable water reconciles lightness and unification (…) the roll-on with metallic ball with ice effect, applies directly, massages the contour of the eye for an immediate draining and decongestant effect " . On the other hand, I did not observe these results because, the roll-on is only used to deposit the product. Besides, I find its metal tip uncomfortable.

FINAL VERDICT .

We can greet the entrance of Bourjois in the certified organic. the universe would be even better if the brand had more foundation shades for black skin and mixed. the range Bio-Detoxwill be better suited for oily and combination skin (semi-sensitive). Despite the qualities of this foundation (organic, fresh, light), it did not leave me with lasting memories. The color does not suit me and it is too difficult to penetrate. The concealer more convinced me.
