As you can see, I am a little less present on my blog. This is likely to last a few more weeks, for a return to normal expected at the end of January! And yet, I have things to tell. BACK TO THE GLOSSYBOX

 

The GlossyBox of last December, called Eves Our Beauty had all the air of THE Christmas gift. Several combinations were delivered to subscribers. I more than appreciated mine.

In my box, were comfortably installed 5 beauty products with a bonus , a mini file and a mini nail clipper. They landed directly in my makeup bag. As a fan of the Payot range , the Essential Make-up Remover (1) enriched with Shea butter and Jojoba oil, presented in a pretty bottle (75ml) I necessarily liked… The Baby Jet mascara (4.5ml)  by Daniel Sandler (2)frankly, I was taken aback because, his brush of absolute finesse does not allow me to properly work my eyelashes. Not having bleached hair (who knows maybe one day?), I put aside (you never know) the shine- enhancing shampoo (50ml)  Okara Protect Color by Furterer (3) . The makeup fixer by Jean d'Estrées (4) is a light spray (50ml) that allows you to fix makeup for the whole day. I haven't tried it yet… The face cream (15ml)  Formule 06 Prescribed Comfort by My Blend (5) , formulated for dry and sensitive skin perfectly matches my specificities. Already using a cream, that of My Blend will be tested later.

BEAUTY COLOR: THE CROSSBREEDING FAIR

From December 14 to 19, at the Halle Freyssinet in the 13th arrondissement of Paris, the first Beauty Color salon will be held . How is this show different from the others? Beauty Color defines itself as " the first salon entirely dedicated to black and mixed beauty but also, a real space of expression of beauty, in the hair, skin, cosmetics and well-being sectors.  Through this event, Beauty Color proposes to both initiate a debate and create a new market dedicated to the specificity of black skin and frizzy, curly and curly hair ".

 

During these six days, five beauty activity sectors will rub shoulders. Thus, the stands / workshops of Aesthetics , Cosmetics , Fashion Accessories , Hairdressing , Conference will invade the 4000 m² of the exhibition space. National and international cosmetic brands will be present. I quote pell-mell, Namasté , CS Dermatologie ( Mela'Aura ), Nacara ,  L'Oréal  ( Dark & Lovely , Mizani ), Noire Ô Naturel and many others. For this end-of-year event, the participation of 120 to 150 beauty professionals is planned, as many experts who will listen to you and be able to guide you in your purchases. This is an opportunity to heat the credit card wisely! Animations and demonstrations are also planned.

BEAUTY BY SONIA ROLLAND

Once a month, Beauty, the fashion beauty magazine of the Stylia chain , puts a French personality at the helm of its program. This month, it is Sonia Rolland, ex miss France 2000, actress and muse of Mixa who takes the orders. Contents of this Beauty : Oxygen Cosmetics , Beauty Zapping and a Survey on black skin makeup . Having had the advantage of watching the program, from this report devoted to black beauties, I especially remembered and appreciated the remarks made by Franck Besnard , general director of the cosmetic brand Clinique. His outspokenness is a pleasure to wait. He says, straightforwardly that  ethnic cosmetic products exist "globally" on the world market but in France, this is "globally" not the case. But also, if Clinique became interested in the ethnic market 1 year-1 ½ years ago, it was to find new clients with high purchasing potential. He even claims that the annual consumption of black women is € 953 compared to € 250 for French Caucasian women. These purchases are 3 times higher for care, 5 times higher for makeup and 7 times higher in hair products! Franck Besnardadds that all these desires are not satisfied on the market. All this is very true. Even if everything is not perfect at this level, it is a pity that the report does not point the entry into the market of French ethnic cosmetics of emerging brands.  The sequence follows: The experts answer the questions followed by L'instant Marion who tries out the fish pedicure. Finally, the program ends with an interview with Sonia Rolland , the ephemeral editor-in-chief of Beauty , around her news and the perception of black beauty.

NEW LINE FOR MARIAH CAREY

It is the great fashion among American people : display almost the day after childbirth a refined and threadlike silhouette as it is not allowed! Thus, Mariah Carey is very proud to show us, only 6 months after giving birth to her twins Monroe and Moroccan , a sculpted and superbly thinned body. The diva delivered on the set of The Rosi e Show that she had lost around 30 pounds, including almost 18 of water and the rest following the fairly strict diet Jenny Craig Diet Plan, brand for which the star is also the new ambassador. Mariah Carey added that she did not spare herself on the sport side since she devoted almost every day, 45 minutes of aqua erobics. WONDERLACK, BEAUTY NAILS' SEMI-PERMANENT VARNISH

 

As for many years, varnishes have never been so prominent. The color in this fall is blue, more thirsty. Fortunately, we are not obliged to follow the trends and in terms of varnish, we do according to our desires!

 

The varnish, placed on the nails of the hands is undoubtedly beautiful, sometimes fun, feminine, glamorous and classy, but it never lasts more than 5 days without chipping or cracking. By dint of touch-ups, the varnish tends to leave very quickly in peanuts and this, both on the holding of the varnish and on the weakening nail. The Americans have found, thanks to the semi-permanent varnish, an alternative which makes it possible to preserve the varnish longer and impeccably, without altering the nail. The other advantage is that we are no longer forced to put false nails for a long-lasting varnish hold, since we do it directly on a natural nail. Today, this technique is a hit with the Yankees as well as in Anglo-Saxon and Hallelujah countries, it finally arrives in France.

 

It is not only because I tested it but having already tried semi-permanent once on the toes in an institute, I find that the Wonderlack permanent UV varnish from Beauty Nails , is the most more successful and more secure for the nail. It must be admitted that the French brand has been a specialist in the beauty of nails and hands with professionals and individuals in France and abroad for 25 years.

 

What is Wonderlack?

It applies like a classic nail polish except that it dries with the UV lamp and lasts much longer, between 15 days to 3 weeks. Not content with offering us a subtle palette of 30 polishes   as chic as they are fashionable (others are to be expected), Beauty Nails , allows us, as individuals, to equip ourselves in order to apply semi-polish like a pro permanent. This technique does not require any special training . Just like a professional manicure, it is imperative to have: a UV lamp (prices range from 29.99 € to 129 € HT), a Wonderlack Top Coat Base (15.90 € HT) and a Finishing Liquid (6.99 € HT to € 79 HT -for 5 liters- ), of a Wonderlack UV Gelof color at 15.90 € HT (or the Wonderlack varnish of your choice), a Cuticle Regrowth  (from 9.80 € HT to 11.80 € HT ) , a stick and a Solution to Dissolve (or a solvent with acetone). This equipment is available on Beauty Nails .

 

To have a successful pose, a manicure is essential. It will consist in pushing back the cuticles or even cutting them, polishing and smoothing the surface of the nail with the soft Perfect Finisher file and filing the nails in a square or rounded manner. Then apply and always in a thin layer, the Base Top Coat Wonderlack followed by a Wonderlack colored UV Gel (twice). You should not fail to catalyze under the UV lamp and apply a last coat of Top Coat. Easy, right?

 

I was fortunate to benefit from a manicure performed by Eva with good care at the new Parisian showroom of Beauty Nails located at 100 rue Réaumur, in the 2nd arrondissement. The result is truly remarkable and so chic . I love. Already, just after having deposited a thin layer of Base Top Coat Wonderlack , the nails are superbly smooth (they are reflected), shine intensely then with the application of the pretty plum red ( Madison) that I have chosen, the nail is magnified and magnificent. The color is intense and bright.

 

Thanks to the UV lamp, drying is instantaneous. Half a second after the completion of Wonderlack , you can immediately go about your business without any worries, put on gloves, rummage in your bag, open a door, drive, shake a hand ... without having to wait 15 to 20 minutes that the varnish does not dry, as we usually do with a conventional varnish. It is very surprising, in the positive sense of the term but above all, practical. In addition, there is no smell of chemical varnish that emanates.

 

 

Dress and maintenance?

At D + 5, no scratches, scratches, snags, niets ,nada , nothing , nothing to report and yet, at times, I am not the most cautious. One has the impression that the surface of the nail does not fear anything. Eva advised me to apply a cuticle oil every day , file the nails at the first regrowth, wear gloves to do certain household tasks (like washing up) and warned me that I should do a little retouching.

 

For who ?

For all and all shapes and lengths of nails. The shortest nails will be highlighted especially that this year , they are more than ever in the spotlight. Better to avoid this technique on bitten or too fragile nails.

 

 

And what about the nail?

Contrary to the installation of false nails which requires among other things to file the top of the nail even if it has to be squared because in the end, it is more thinned, fragile, brittle and facilitates the absorption of more or less toxic beauty products (glue or resin), with Wonderlack the nail is not as traumatized. If you have the misfortune to remove the false nails yourself, you will have to use a lot of patience to recover the nails while with Wonderlack , we remove the varnish with a solvent with acetone . It would seem that the care taken and, the Wonderlack varnishesapplied would not damage the nail. However, I think that you should not abuse good things and let the nail rest a few days before a next session. For the moment, I am only 5 days away from Wonderlack , I am not ready to remove my varnish, still as flamboyant and lacquered . After 3 weeks, I will of course deliver my prints.

 

Wonderlack's strengths?

The combinations that can be made are incredible such as applying the Base Top Coat Wonderlack alone , putting on top of a classic varnish or removing it (using a solvent without acetone) after 48 hours to put another without the Top Coatdon't go away. Insofar as no training is required, you can purchase the equipment, thus skipping over a nail benefit accruing as institutes from 60 € to 80 € . All inclusive (manicure + Wonderlack pose ), it takes about 45 minutes and you never come back to it. It’s pretty quick.

 

Weaknesses of Wonderlack?

The cost will you tell me? However, the service at an esthetician or a manicure is not so excessive because, one benefits from several weeks of peace and one can remove at home the varnish Wonderlack  without being obliged to return to the institute. If you decide to equip yourself, there will necessarily be a starting cost but, this will be quickly pays for itself after 3 or 4 uses.

 

FINAL VERDICT .

After a quarter century of existence and requirement, the has quality beauty products, treatments and accessories Beauty Nails is well established. I will have ample opportunity to come back to this in future articles. The brand makes its wide range accessible to all. For years I have been in favor of transparent varnishes because, I have always hated varnishes that flake off in less than 48 hours and that have to be constantly re- boosted . But I found the concept and the effects of Wonderlack so great that I got equipped! I will also try the experiment on my toes. Even if our toes will be locked in boots, pumps or ballerinas for the next 6 months, they also have the right to be beautiful and dolled up with varnish!
