MY BOURJOIS BIO TEST AT ONLINE FASHION STORE

At the end of October ( here ), I spoke to you of new funds complexion Bio-Detox (certified by Ecocert) of Bourjois , wondering if one of the 9 colors available, existed for black skin and mixed. I then contacted the brand to ask them the question. I received a quick and detailed response from Jennifer from the Bourjois team . The latter informed me that indeed, 3 shades (59, 60 and 61)  were developed for black and mixed skin. More intense, these foundations unify and give radiance to black skin. Thus, the shade 59 corresponds to the complexion of light brown type, the 60 to brown and the 61 is darker. In France, only 2 colors are sold ( 59 and 60 ).

This orientation of the brand is certainly linked to the fact that the majority of black women turn to the choice of their foundation, towards so-called ethnic and multiethnic ranges.  Once you have found a suitable foundation (after several years of research), it is certainly difficult (but not impossible) to change it.

So that I could get an idea, Jennifer sent me shades 59 and 60 as well as the brand new Bio-Detox anti-pocket concealer . Hop, hop, hop, immediately my impressions.

For information, 98.8% of the total ingredients of the foundation Bio-Detox are of natural origin and 21.9% of total ingredients are from organic farming. Bio-Détox is enriched with oxygenating vegetable chlorophyll & anti-pollution for detoxified skin over the uses .

The most:

the packaging is very refined, while transparent. We immediately see the color of the foundation and the pump-bottle is perfectly suited for a liquid product. Bio-Detox absolutely does not clog pores, it is very light and sufficiently covering. It does not turn after several hours, does not over-shine the skin and remains firmly in place. Of course, I apply a compact powder to fix and mattify the face. There is also no mask effect, freezing the face. The appearance is very natural on the face. The detail that makes the difference: the smell it gives off. Could it be vegetable chlorophyll? Anyway i like it a lot. It is a bit surprising but very exhilarating.

The lessers :

The texture tames. It is thicker than usual foundations and more difficult to penetrate. Suddenly, it spreads only partially over the desired surface of the face, I am forced to put more, without excess but it remains laborious. A little too much product at the corners of the lips and traces appeared. It is this aspect that is fishing.

It is a product that I appreciated, however, the shade 59 did not quite correspond to me because, a little too dark for me.

The Bio-Detox anti-puffiness, also certified by Ecocert ( 98.9% of the total ingredients are from natural origin and 14.4% of the total ingredients are from Organic Farming) and which makes so much talk, has the particularity to be exhausted from adecongestant massage ball . Only 2 shades are sold . I tested the Mat Hâlé shade (number 3). Was it a pinch too light considering the color of my skin? Let's see. Bio-Detox Anti-Puff Concealer in 8ml tube, at an indicative price of € 12. It is sold in supermarkets and perfumeries. The most: The packaging is practical, simple and hygienic. I lightly press the tube which delivers the necessary dose of product thanks to the roll-on with metal ball. The minuses: Bio-Detox anti-puffiness                                                              

is fairly even a little too compact. The rules for using a concealer are as follows: use your finger to apply it, lightly tap (from the inside to the outside) and finally, always choose your concealer in a lighter tone than its coloring. Bourjois concealer requires taking your time. I pat (not badly) on the level of the eye then, so that the shade is based on the color of my skin, I systematically add a small amount of foundation. There is nevertheless a slight trace (light brown) at the place of the dark circles. My current solution is to use instead of the  Bio-Detox foundation , my usual foundation in symbiosis with the Bio-Detox anti-puffiness. It is much better.

Even today, I continue to use Bio-Detox anti-puffiness, first because I have visible dark circles and then, because I find the texture (thicker than average) effective against my dark circles. They are less visible, almost imperceptible after having worked them well with Bio-Detox anti-puffiness . The skin there has become smoother and hydrated. It is also a makeup product which, according to the brand, " also acts on puffy pockets and eyelids (…) les soft focus pigments erase dark circles and brighten the look and its natural formula based on vegetable water reconciles lightness and unification (…) the roll-on with metallic ball with ice effect, applies directly, massages the contour of the eye for an immediate draining and decongestant effect " . On the other hand, I did not observe these results because, the roll-on is only used to deposit the product. Besides, I find its metal tip uncomfortable.

FINAL VERDICT .

We can greet the entrance of Bourjois in the certified organic. the universe would be even better if the brand had more foundation shades for black skin and mixed. the range Bio-Detoxwill be better suited for oily and combination skin (semi-sensitive). Despite the qualities of this foundation (organic, fresh, light), it did not leave me with lasting memories. The color does not suit me and it is too difficult to penetrate. The concealer more convinced me.

Before taking stock of my 5 months of exclusive use of Phytospecific hair beauty products, today, I decided to tell you about the essentials of the range, the shampoo and the conditioner. A fundamental step that some of us put in the background. When shampooing, it is recommended to do two. My hair is type 2, that is to say: frizzy and dehydrated, as Lydia   from Univers Phyto had diagnosed me .  The product duo that suits me is therefore: Intense Nutrition Shampoo with Bancoulier oil and Intense Nutrition Mask with Vegetable Marrow.

Finding the right skincare beauty product is essential, but so is the way to use it. So to successfully shampoo, just: take a nut, pour it on the wet scalp and then gently massage with your fingertips (without using your nails) by making regular rotational movements towards the forehead and towards the neck (while keeping your hands in the center). This improves microcirculation but also reaches all parts of the scalp. The lengths do not need to be washed since the product flows along the hair. The operation is to be repeated (let the second shampoo sit for a few minutes). By following these rules, I observed that by putting a generous amount of Intense Nutrition Shampoo,impurities were gently removed. The components are not foreign to it. As for the range, the best concentration of plants, vitamins and plant proteins merged with the oil of Bancoulier , oil Macadamia , with wheat proteins , the essential wax Mimosa , with a base washing plant and more. 

When I first used it, what surprised me was that this shampoo was so liquid and lathered so little. In fact, contrary to popular belief, a good shampoo is not one that lathers in excess. The softer it is, the less it lathers and the less it risks damaging the hair.

Intense Nutrition Shampoo

It washes well, nourishes, hydrates and softens the hair shaft. My hair is less tangled and more vigorous.

Personally, I am more adept and more comfortable with hair masks that we "pick" directly from the jar. The pump bottle is certainly practical but, I will certainly have difficulty recovering the last residues.

Intense Nutrition Mask                                                  

Apply it after shampooing on towel-dried hair. To avoid greasing the root, spread it only over the lengths and ends, then leave it on for at least 20 minutes. For better efficiency, separate your hair into several parts, apply a thin layer of product and finally, detangle with a comb (afro). The longer you keep the mask, the better it will penetrate and deliver its nourishing, hydrating, fragrant, restorative properties. The vegetable marrow , the decoct of Hibiscus , of Elderberry of Horsetail, the butter of Illipé , the oil of Mango , the milk of Quinoa , the amino acids of Wheat… Are the exceptional ingredients that make this mask an excellent treatment. For more effects, you can even don a charlotte. Do not neglect to rinse the hair thoroughly in order to eliminate all traces of the product.

With its delicate white-ivory color, Intense Nutrition Mask is more like a cream in terms of texture because it is very fine and light. Surprising and different. After applying the Phytospecific mask , the tedious detangling step was made easier. And, after rinsing the product, my hair is much more flexible, very clearly silky, hydrated and shiny. In addition over time, Intense Nutrition Maskhas other properties to restructure in depth and prevent the formation of forks.

After 2 Intense Nutrition shampoos, my hair is full of vitality and clean. Then, after having applied and rinsed Intense Nutrition Mask, one observation is self-evident: my hair is supple, soft to the touch and already nourished.

I do not know the exact term but, I call them: little cabbages (those who know, leave the correct answer in the comm '!). I do them when applying the conditioner so that it penetrates better. In addition, my hair does not get tangled. Then, once rinsed,to protect and promote brushing, which will eventually be followed by smoothing. 

After brushing, my hair is flexible, not too flat (as I like) and full of health! I zap for a few more months smoothing.

Reserved and recommended for frizzy, frizzy and dehydrated, very dry hair.

FINAL VERDICT.

It is after several uses that I noticed the benefits of these beauty products. They are more relaxed (my most blatant observation), nourished, brief in form. I also learned not to overdose on the amount of shampoo and mask. With an average of one shampoo every 10 days (the best would be once a week) and 5 months of exclusive use of Phytospecific cleaners, I still have 1 third of Intense Nutrition Mask and almost more Intense Nutrition Shampoo . We are not only winners in terms of quality but also from an economic point of view because these treatments are not excessively high and last very long. Finally, it would be a truism to say that the scents of Intense Nutrition Shampoo with Bancoulier oil and those of Intense Nutrition Mask with Vegetable Marrow are pleasant. The hair is clean and smells so good!

Most.

For those who have dry hair and scalp (this is often the case with naturally frizzy and relaxed hair), take an oil baththe day before or a few hours before shampooing. It is not easy to come across a good product that moisturizes and nourishes frizzy hair (from roots to ends) without weighing it down or making it greasy. In the Phytospecific range, I bought a Nourishing Styling Cream with Shea Butter - formerly called Crème de Beauté Coiffante-, a treatment that I recommend to everyone.

Since this summer, I decided to temporarily put aside my straightener (my savior), which I used after my conditioner. I missed my thick hair terribly. So, bye byeloose hair and easy hairstyle but hello "pretty tuft" but difficult disentangling and limited hairstyle. Rest assured, it is quite possible to avoid these last pitfalls because, as always, what counts is the choice of suitable hair beauty products and in particular, a moisturizer that fulfills its functions. Nourishing Styling Cream with Shea Butter has succeeded in taking up the challenge.

As for the composition.

Shea butter, beeswax, petroleum jelly, wheat germ oil, Jojoba oil, essential fatty acids and Tocopherol, are the main ingredients of this beauty cream, which make this care a delight for the hair.

As for the texture.

It is very different fromNourishing Styling Cream from the same range or any other cream since it is a refined, tender and unctuous wax with a dynamic yellow-orange color.

As for the effects on my frizzy hair.

Immediate! But first, it all started with spraying on clean, wet and separated hair (in 4-5 or 6) of Integral Care with Hordeum Pulp then a quick brushing to dry them. As I had already indicated in a previous post , with Integral Care, brushing is easier, faster and, the hair is more relaxed, softer * and well hydrated. After brushing, it is therefore really not useful to add any cream. It was the next day that I applied Nourishing Hair Styling Cream to all of my hair . Kathy Jean-Louis (Communication manager for Phytospecific) also advised me to melt a dab of wax (which is more than enough) between the palms of the hand before spreading it over the hair, from roots to ends (by insisting on the latter). This treatment brings indeed, " a quality hydrolipidic film to the hair to allow it to keep water" declared Kathy Jean-Louis. But not only… My hair has become even more supple , shiny , well hydrated and nourished , disciplined, from the first application. Then, after a few days, I noticed that they no longer swelled as much and that they were no longer dry on the tips (and on the rest of my mop for that matter). What is incredible about this product is that it has such a capacity of nutrition and hydration , that it is not necessary to put it every day. Save when you hold us! Personally, I put it 2 times in a row after the shampoo then, every 3 days (or even 4)!

I forgot, I comb my hair more easily on a daily basis, at the end of the day my hair is still as soft and not the least tangled.

For who ?

Nourishing Styling Cream is intended for curly, frizzy and relaxed hair. Because I have experienced and lived it, I add that all those who have frizzy to very frizzy hair and who despair of finding a treatment likely to highlight the beauty of their afro. And god is that there are! Nourishing Styling Cream is also used to style, model or sculpt hair. It can also be used to flatten the hair. It's not too bad, but it could be better. AS TO THE FINAL VERDICT.

Hair Styling Cream pleased me across the board. The smell of candy also delighted me. To take care of your hair all year round but especially in winter, the season when it tends to be even drier and weakened, Nourishing Hair Styling Cream proves to be the adequate beauty products, especially for frizzy hair (in maintenance, poorly in point, broken, dry, straightened). It is the daily product Phytospecific to own. I'm so so on its use in this type of hair as before, I used Balm Moisturizer Styling ofPhytospecific and, I found it a light chouya on the hydration side (entering only superficially in the heart of my hair) while my mother who has smooth and flat hair, has been applying it for several years with always the same satisfaction. The styling, moisturizing and nourishing capabilities of the hair shaft of this balm are beyond doubt on her hair.
